2. Choosing Happiness

A couple of weeks ago I was at a concert. The sun was setting and the sky was beautiful, breathtaking. I was listening to a band I like, with a friend I love, and the view was incredible. I told her, “I can’t believe we have to die someday, it’s just not fair”. She chuckled, and so did I.

This thought crosses my mind way too often.

I’m a happy person, and I’m in awe of this life. So many things make me happy. The sunshine, belly laughing when you’re tired, finally seeing your favorite band live, seeing people dance, watching the waves… I love life, I love people, I fucking love being and feeling alive. If it was up to me, I would love to be alive for, at least, another 500 years.

There are negative things we have to go through, of course. Life is hard. But up to now, I’ve been lucky enough that I’ve gotten over every bad thing that has happened to me.

And I just used the word lucky, but I’m proud to say that I have a very positive outlook on life, even if it takes some effort.

We are here for a very short time, and I don’t want to dwell on every little thing that hurts me. I much rather focus on what’s great and put all my positive energy out. Simple.

Being angry takes too much effort, and it probably produces more wrinkles anyway. I have not gotten botox yet, but I plan to keep my young skin looking radiant for a long long time.

I’ll keep you posted! 💫
